Alumna Accepts Position at University of Miami

Ivette Cruz (PhD 2010) has accepted a faculty position at the University of Miami. Dr. Cruz will be working in conjunction with the Cochlear Implant Team where she will be involved with pre-implantation evaluations, assessment of cognitive and academic functioning, and supportive therapy for children with hearing impairments and their families. She is also conducting NIH funded research on the effects of cochlear implantation on cognitive, emotional and social development at the Ear Institute in the Barton G. Kids Hear Now Cochlear Implant Family resource Center.
