CPS Alumna Named Deputy Director for the American Psychological Association (APA) Education Directorate

Center for Psychological Studies alumna Catherine Grus, Ph.D. (1993) has been named Deputy Director in the APA Education Directorate. Since joining the directorate as Associate Executive Director for Professional Education and Training in 2005, Dr. Grus has worked to advance polices that promote high quality education and training in professional psychology. She has also served as the Directorate’s liaison to national, international, and inter-organizational education and training councils.

After receiving her Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1993, Dr. Grus completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, after which she joined the faculty of the University of Miami School of Medicine, where she served as director of their psychology internship program.
