CPS Alumna Appointment

Center for Psychological Studies Alumna Tanya White-Davis (Psy.D. 2007) has accepted a faculty appointment in the Department of Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Westchester, NY. The Department of Family and Social Medicine is nationally recognized for its training in urban family medicine.

Alumni Appointments

Center for Psychological Studies Alumna Allyson Baker (Psy. D. 2008)has received an appointment as assistant training director for internship/postdoctoral training for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, Texas.

Center for Psychological Studies Alumna Patricia Taboas (MHC 2008) has received an appointment as Youth Program Manager for the Thelma Gibson Health Initiative, a youth prevention intervention program covered by a new Children’s Trust grant.

Marva M. Robin, Psy.D (2008) has accepted a position at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center, in Farmington, Missouri as a forensic psychology resident.

Master’s Alumna Accepts Position with Broward County School Board

Center for Psychological Studies Alumna Mabel Thackeray, M.S. (2007) has accepted a position as Counselor for the Broward County School Board. Ms. Thackeray will be providing counseling for schools in the North Broward area.

Center for Psychological Studies alumna Jane Echterling, Ph.D. (1999) began a one-year term as president of the Florida Psychological Association: North Central Florida Chapter on January 1, 2008.

CPS Alumnus Anthony Castro, Psy.D/Ph.D (2005) has accepted a position at the University of Miami School of Medicine providing forensic services on issues primarily involving hildren/adolescents/families. Dr. Castro recently completed a two-year clinical fellowship in pediatric forensic psychology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Brian Freedman, Ph.D., (2006) has accepted a position at Kennedy Krieger’s Center for Autism and Related Disorders, at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, the Kennedy Krieger Institute is a multi-faceted, multidisciplinary program for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Center for Psychological Studies Alumna Melissa Brymer, Ph.D/Psy.D. has been appointed Director of the Child Trauma Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Center for Psychological Studies Alumnus Luis Bedregal (Ph,.D. 2002) has received an appointment as assistant professor at the Yale University Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC). The CMHC is a collaborative endeavor of the Yale University Department of Psychiatry and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
